Energy Control System
Most commercial kitchen hoods operate at 100% capacity all day long,
even during idle, non-cooking periods. This costs the UK food
service industry millions of pounds in wasted energy every year.
These controls are the only proven solution to the problem.
Apart from the environmental issues it addresses by reducing CO²
emissions, the system offers substantial reductions in energy costs
associated with extract and supply fan energy, as well as savings
gained from reduced waste of conditioned air.
Food Industry Technical has over 1500 systems working
satisfactorily, 24 hours per day in sites in the UK and Europe.
Sensitive detectors monitor smoke, steam and temperature in the
cooking area. This allows the rate of air extraction to be
continuously adjusted to match the level of cooking activity. Energy
savings result from the reduction of power required to drive the
extract fan motors. Secondary savings result from reducing the
requirements for air conditioning and heating of fresh air entering
the building.
The Energy Control System consists of a number of electronic modules
which are interconnected by a data-communications network. Sensors
installed into the canopy and ducts are used to monitor the cooking
environment. A System Processor unit uses the data obtained from the
sensors to calculate the ideal rate of airflow. The System Processor
sends commands, which in turn controls the speed of the fan.

With the rental plan, not only does the client avoid the need for
capital investment but pay back is immediate.
Gas Isolation- Ventilation Interface & Proving
A proven method for Gas Isolation and detection for use in hotels,
restaurants and commercial catering establishments where compliance
with BS 6173 is required.
The Gas Isolation Ventilation Interface and Proving System provide
complete protection from leaks and critical loss of pressure. This
unique system provides a full pressure test of all supply pipe work
and detects all levels of leaks unlike other systems using weep
bypass methods.
