We are a quality assured firm, holding the ISO9001 registration, and
in addition all our roof truss sites hold ISO9002 (Trussed Rafter
Quality Assurance Scheme) accreditation. We monitor and measure our
quality through a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),
covering accuracy, compliance and delivery and we regularly measure
these with our customers. With everything we do we strive to provide
the products you want, manufactured to the level of quality you
demand at a price that's competitive.

With more than a quarter of a century of experience in tailoring
solutions to suit almost any roof shape, you can be confident that
we can deliver the right trusses for your building needs. From
simple gable-to-gable to more complex designs involving attics,
raised collars or scissor-profiled roof trusses, our teams of
specialist designers have seen it all before.
Services
Fully qualified designers and estimators are based at each Palgrave
Brown roof truss manufacturing branch. All provide total roof pack
solutions, plus a wide range of products for any project ranging
from simple gable-to-gable to the much more complex roofs that are
often specified for larger buildings including schools, nursing
homes and apartment developments.
We can also produce large span trusses up to 19m in length. Design
support includes detailed CAD drawings, structural calculations and
fully itemised component schedules and professional accurate
estimating. Our products can be computer generated on to full layout
drawings to show the roof trusses required in association with all
the metal fixings, bracing requirements and ancillary components
that will complete the roof structure.
All Round Protection..... At Palgrave Brown, we treat all our timber
roof trusses with 'Protim' a top quality preservative that
significantly improves expected service life and ensures protection
against pests. By treating all our products we are not only helping
you to protect your investment, we are also actively helping to
protect the environment by reducing the need to over harvest
forests.

JOISTS
As any experienced house builder knows, traditional timber floor
joists can bow, twist and move as the moisture content changes. The
resultant squeaks and dips as the floor lifts away from the joists
is one of the major causes of complaint by new house buyers and it
can lead to time-consuming and expensive call-backs for the builder
and developer.
Palgrave Brown's Trus Joist Silent Floor® system is the solution to
this, providing a cost-effective and versatile framing solution that
adds a whole new dimension to structures. At the heart of the Silent
Floor® system are the TJI® joists, which are manufactured at a low
and uniform moisture content to eliminate the splitting, bowing and
twisting that is so common with timber joists. TJI Joists Palgrave
Brown provides national distribution for Trus Joist's Silent Floor®
System through three specialist centres - Yeovil, Marchington and
Brinscall.
Increasingly demanded by the building industry to provide 'squeak
and fuss free' flooring systems, the Silent Floor® brand is already
widely specified by Palgrave Brown's national house building
customer base. Plus, our design teams work together to provide a
total integrated solution saving you time and risks associated with
managing two different suppliers.
The Silent Floor® System incorporates the TJI® joist, the first BBA
approved, high performance engineered timber I joist. The System is
manufactured to ISO 9002 and is recognised by the NHBC. TJI® joists
are manufactured with Microllam® laminated veneer lumber (LVL) for
the flanges and Performance Plus TM enhanced oriented strand board
forming the centre web.
