Uretek (UK) Ltd
underpinning foundation Geoplus® foundation testing
Uretek Floorlifting and Deep Injection systems for settlement
repairs and foundation stabilisation are proven, economical, fast,
and effective. The Uretek Method and special geo-polymers used for
injection, have been developed in the international Uretek
Laboratories and are the subject of international patents.
Deep Injection - Foundation Lifting
Uretek Deep Injection Method for industrial or domestic properties
Uretek unique injection technology provides up to 500% increase in
ground bearing capacity
Non-compressible structural resin
Uretek material expands 30 times its liquid volume, exerting in
excess of 50 tonnes/sq meter expansive pressure on surrounding
soils.
Uretek material expels ground water with light weight material
reducing weight on lower stratas.
The Uretek system can be used to inject at depths of more than 3
meters beneath strip and rafted foundations and flooring.
The Uretek system can be applied in either radial or linear form to
create columns with similar characteristics to piled foundations.
Verifiable by penetrometer testing and other techniques.
A non-disruptive solution - house foundations and floors can be
treated within one to two days by Uretek.
UK Uretek launches - GEOPLUS® - a super consolidating geopolymer
Uretek, the international polymer based ground stabilisation
specialist, has introduced a major product - GEOPLUS ® - with
significant benefits for the building and building insurance
industries.
GEOPLUS® is a new generation super consolidating geo-polymer
designed exclusively for Uretek's patented deep injection method.
The polymer is used to stabilise a wide range of weak foundation
soils, typically in situations where there is evidence of
settlement.
The product claims expansive thrust of 10,000 kPa, up to 20 times
greater than existing polymers, which enables complete building
structures to be lifted or levelled.
GEOPLUS® also claims extremely rapid change from liquid to
solid state which prevents spread into unwanted underground areas,
and facilitates very accurate prediction of its mechanical and
consolidation characteristics.
Because this geo-polymer is lighter than the soils it is
consolidating, it is able to provide increased strength without
increasing the foundation weight by any significant amount. This is
the opposite of that which results from the use of traditional
underpinning methods which are based on concrete.
GEOPLUS® further benefits include: an elasticity modulus
compatibility with soils ranging from loose sand to hard clay;
excellent resistance to tensile and flexural stress; isotropic; no
CFC, HFC, HCFC or FC constituents; and neutral environmental impact.
GEOPLUS® was developed in Europe by the Uretek R & D facility
and has been extensively field tested in underpinning projects. It
was laboratory tested at the University of Padua Geotechnical
Department who also provide its certification.
