Sunfold Systems can supply a range of thermally broken aluminium & timber folding sliding doors for many different applications.

Folding sliding doors are designed to open up space for living and working environments. They are ideal for Sunrooms, conservatories, swimming pools, pavement café’s, restaurants, balconies & car showrooms.

All external systems comply with the revised Document L of the Building regulations.

A multi-track thermally broken aluminium sliding door is also available to open areas quickly and easily.

Dimensions

Panels up to 3000mm high can be hinges together in long “trains” to open up to 90% of an elevation. Maximum panel width can be 1100mm (for lower heights).

Security

Intermediate panel joints are held securely together by internal shoot bolts operated from a flat, colour matched sprung handle. End panels and pass doors are fitted with 3 point locks meeting requirements of insurance companies

Weather Seals

Unique finger safe severe weather rated (to DIN18055 groups B & C) weather seals ensure draft free year round comfortable living. Seals are specifically designed to be soft and finger safe should little hands get trapped.

Glazing

Sealed glazed units up to 40mm can be accommodated. Our standard 24mm unit comprises two panes of 4mm clear toughened glass (one with a low E coating) with a thermally efficient argon gas filled cavity. All units are manufactured to BS6206a and carry a 5-year guarantee. Solar control, thermal glazing and self-cleaning options are available.

Stacking / Folding

Panels can be stacked inside or outside of the room, to the left, right or both. Where odd numbers of panels are used, the last panel in the “train” is furnished as a secure pass door with lever handles both sides for daily use.

Suspension

Panels can be top hung or bottom rolling (floor supported). Severe weather rated low threshold options are also available.

Installation

We offer a full installation service nationwide. We are also happy to deliver abroad.
