Weirgrove uses tried and tested Industrial
Automation products including PLCs and industrially rugged
networks to control switchboards, generators and load shedding
systems, and for the provision of mimics and graphics interfaces for
visualisation. Industrial field bus systems lend themselves to
systems integration in the switchgear environment, Weirgrove has
developed protocols for communication with UPS systems, Static
Switches, generators, instruments, protection and metering devices.
Fast scanning and logging of alarms and events allow subsequent
fault analysis with time based discrimination.
We understand the problems faced by Facilities
Managers on critical sites with extensive LV installations, multiple
power sources, redundancy and complex backup systems. Through clear
displays and unambiguous diagnostics, our interfaces give operators
the best possible tools to help manage their plant through normal
operation, test routines and fault conditions.

basis and Weirgrove can advise on “hardening” of existing LV power
installations.

The Underwoods Group consists of a number of
