HVMS are market leading specialist Power Engineers and providers
of complete, cost effective services to users of electrical
distribution systems up to 132kV.
HVMS’ headcount has expanded to +150 staff and services have
expanded from straight forward HV/LV maintenance to complete turnkey
power distribution packages for Public Networks, Private Networks
and Rail Networks.
Services include protection studies, system design, installation
and commissioning of capital equipment as well as HV/LV cabling
services and associated civil works such as excavation, trenching
and re-instatement.
Routine Maintenance & Inspection
Routine maintenance of high and low voltage plant should be
carried out not simply to ensure reliable and economical service,
but to comply with the provisions of the Health and Safety
Executive.
In addition, all maintenance and inspection is carried out as
recommended by the equipment manufacturers and as required by BS
6626:1985 Code of Practice for Maintenance of Electrical Switchgear
and Control Gear. Such works are implemented in compliance with the
Electricity at Work Regulation 1989.
Only trained, competent, Authorised and Senior Authorised
personnel are utilised by HVMS. Our Engineers and Technicians are
fully conversant with all varieties of electrical equipment, not to
mention the differing handling, storing and disposal requirements.
HVMS strictly follow schedules of work and report on the
condition of plant before and after remedial treatment with
recommendations for future consideration. A comprehensive written
report is issued to the client upon completion of work.
Partial Discharge Testing
Partial Discharge testing is used to analyse the presence of any
electrical discharge within areas such as cable termination boxes,
busbar chambers and switchgear enclosures, and is a non-intrusive
test which can be carried out by competent persons with substation
access without the need for a power shutdown.
Thermographic Survey
Thermographic testing has become an accepted method for
diagnosing potential faults. This system of analysis is particularly
useful when it is difficult to arrange power outages, as it is
necessary to have the system live in order to detect high resistance
joints. A comprehensive report is produced highlighting any
anomalies that are found.
Emergency Response Retainer
Emergency Response cover will ensure that you have a team of
highly experienced, fully qualified professionals just a phone call
away to resolve any network safety or performance issues.
HVMS provide a range of flexible options to provide clients with
the mix of Emergency Cover and Testing Services to suit any specific
requirements.
