British Standards (BS)

BSI Registered Logo

BSI British Standards is the National Standards Body (NSB) in the UK and was the world's first. It represents the UK's economic and social interests across the European and international standards organizations and through development of business information solutions for British organizations of all sizes and sectors. British Standards works with manufacturing and service industries, businesses, governments and consumers to facilitate the production of British, European and international standards.

CE Marking

CE Logo

CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain European Directives. CE marking gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. The initials "CE" do not stand for any specific words but are a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the applicable European Directive(s).

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)


Since 1916, ASME has accredited companies in the pressure vessel industry to certify that their products, services and quality system comply with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The ASME International Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code establishes rules governing the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels, and nuclear power plant components during construction. The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is in a class of its own. It is internationally renowned.

European Standards (BS EN)

European Standards (BS EN) Logo

A European Standard (EN) is a document that has been adopted by one of the three recognized European Standardization Organizations: CEN, CENELEC or ETSI. European Standards are a key component of the Single European Market. A standard represents a model specification, a technical solution against which a market can trade. It codifies best practice and is usually state of the art. EN standards are being adopted by the BSI in place of many BS standards.

Gas Safe Register

Gas Safe Logo

Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. We make sure all gas engineers on the Register, over 120,000, are qualified to work with gas.

Combustion Engineering Association (CEA)

CEA Logo

The CEA is a registered educational charity that aims to improve the understanding and development of the combustion industry. Formed in 1933 to promote the science and best practice of combustion and engineering, its heritage and reputation goes back over 80 years.
